Description: ------------ I discovered that you could 3D print directly on acrylic plates and I thought it might be interesting to convert my Solar Sayings project to use this technique. The examples that I saw where people did this didn't care about the alignment of the printing to the acrylic plate but my use would so I designed a guide that aligned the bottom and left edges precisely and allows for expansion as the plate heated up. With these guides, you would start the print and then pause the printer just before it attempts to print on the acrylic plate, slide the acrylic plate into the guide with the bottom/left edges against the fixed guides and the top/right edges being pressed by the "feathers" against the acrylic.
