demo video: This is my assistive bottle opener, made for any plastic water bottle and anyone with difficulties opening bottles, such as elderly people, people with arthritis, and people with neurological conditions like MS (multiple sclerosis). It is roughly an hour print, requiring ZERO supports and no assembly; it is fully usable right off the print bed. I designed this tool because I noticed that people with physical challenges that I knew often had difficulties opening small caps on bottles, which is a problem considering it is a pretty common thing many people do. Many commercial products, specifically the plastic or metal ones shaped similarly to a horseshoe, required more strength and finger mobility than the people I knew had, meaning they were not a viable solution for them.
