The original crate size is designed to fit H0 scale high-sided open Eas wagons. Two crates fit side-by-side in one such wagon, and 4 crates fit lengthwise in an older, shorter wagon. The original design was made for a crate measuring 21.3x24.6x14.8 mm, which corresponds to a real-life crate of 185x215x130 cm.
