About this model
A fully 3D-printable, adjustable Morse code straight key designed for simple construction, durability, and easy tuning. The design uses M3 hex bolts as electrical contacts, with their broad heads providing durable contact surfaces. Brass washers at the pivot points reduce friction and prevent the PLA from acting as the bearing surface. A central retaining/thumb screw allows adjustment of contact gap, lever travel, and key responsiveness. The result is a compact, tactile Morse key built around inexpensive, readily available hardware—with the PLA body providing the structure and the metal hardware taking the wear.
