About this model

Head cross-section model for demonstrating obstructed airways in unconscious patients and treatment by the head-tilt/chin-lift This model demonstrates two things at once: - In unconscious accident victims, the airways can become blocked if the tongue muscles go slack: the tongue slips into the back of the throat, sealing off the entrance to the trachea and thereby obstructing the airway. - How this can be resolved by tilting the head backwards (Head tilt/Chin lift). Anatomical models like this are commonly used in first aid courses but are unreasonably expensive (up to 70-140€ in Germany). So now you can print one yourself for estimated 2€.
