About this model
A relatively niche kit conversion for the Accurail stock car. These parts will allow the model builder to create either one or both of the Santa Fe's modified stock cars used for sugar beet service. One version is quite simple and is a single door that replaces the stock car's normal doors. Will need a wooden plank wall built above it. The other version requires quite a bit of trimming and cutting of the Accurail car, but it does provide a version with 6 drop doors on each side. See the attached photo of the real modified cars and the completed models for how to build your own. Great for Santa Fe modelers or freelance modelers!
