Here is a fan grill to protect your fingers. It's a thing cover with a little flex in it. In the corners are pins that will pop into the holes in the fan. Due to the orientation of layer lines you might only get a couple insertion / removals before the pins pop off. it sure works great to save fingers when setting up an auxiliary fan.
