About this model
A printable STL of the Seated Figure, made by a Middle Niger artist in the 13th century. The original is a terracotta sculpture from the Inland Niger Delta region of present-day Mali, and comes from the ancient city of Jenne-jeno. It’s over 700 years old and is now part of The Metropolitan Museum of Art collection in New York, where it is on display in Gallery 341. I downloaded the GLB model from The Met and converted it to STL for easier 3D printing. I also cut a few mm off the bottom in the slicer to give it a flat base and make the first layer easier to print. Original artwork: Seated Figure - Middle Niger artist, 13th century, Mali Original size: approx. 25.4 cm tall. 3D model/source: The Metropolitan Museum of Art
