About this model

The Benson Ford was a lake freighter in service of the Ford Motor Company, built in the mid 1920s. The Benson and her sister, Henry Ford II, were among the first freighters on the Lakes to be powered by diesel engines. This model is constructed at 1:1000 scale, so it should work fine at that scale or larger. In 1:1000 she measures just over seven inches long. I printed with a 0.4 nozzle at 0.12 mm layer height. Masts are included as a separate file, but be warned they will be difficult to print and install. If printing these a 0.2 nozzle is a must. No AI was used in the creation of this model.
