Couldn't find a sinusoidal gear generator so created a basic program to parametrically generate gears with out the non-optimal spur gear shape. Test here: Parameters include: --Number of teeth --Tooth profile - Sinusoidal, Gaussian, Square, Ratchet + shape tweaking --Tooth height --Radial shear and other strange effects... --Rotate gear to see how well they mesh... or not A second Meshing gear is also calculated with variable number of teeth. If it looks noisy then try increasing number of samples or smoothing iteratons. Creations can be downloaded as SVG or STL files. Configurations can be saved. Example files uploaded.
