About this model

The fixed tube used in most 3Dprinters as a reel holder has always troubled me. So, for my 3D printers,I have added ball races to the reel holders so they can freely turmn. Here is the version for the Elegoo Netpune 4. A 190mm length of M8 threaded rod, an M8 nut, 2 x M8 Nylock nuts, an M8 flat washer and 2 x 608Z ball race bearings are needed. In this version, I make use of the existing reel holder tube too. The M8 nut pressed into the part behind the back bearing ring has a drop of super glue on the thread once it is in position to keep it fixed after the reel is placed and the front Nylock nut done up with enough slack to allow the reel to turn freely. Then the unit is installed on the printer and the rear Nylock nut done up tight.
