About this model
Bearing Blocks are used by most 3D Printers to allow for movement along one or more axis in combination with Linear Bearings. This particular combination bypasses the need for the use of Ball Bearings. This allows for the same basic movements to be performed with a lesser of degree of noise and wear to the smooth rods. Lubrication is also no longer needed. The bearings used in V1 are Igus Part# RJ4JP-01-08 as obtained from them and should fit over an 8mm smooth rod. The bearing blocks are made for the Wanhao Duplicator i3. Keep in Mind that I have not used these blocks to print yet BUT, have placed them over an 8mm rod and they are very smooth.
