About this model
Work in Progress I will build a 3d FDM printer myself in the next months and want to try something else for the X axis carriage, also I wanted to use the E3D V6 holder for the Anet A8 by TNS ( to fit onto the slide, therefor I took the measurments of the screw hole distances from the original A8 slide. I designed all screw-holes and the nut inserts to fit the standard M3 bolts and nuts. The mounts for the bearings and the bearing sleve are made to fit the 608 bearings. After this thing is completed, I'll setup a test rig with a Stepper driver and a RAMPS board and will do a test where the slide will be running 24/7 until a set travel distance is reached (I'm thinking of a distance like 100km of travel or so) and afterwards I'll look at the wear an the rollers and the extrusion (perhaps I'l…
