I make a lot of small handmade items that require quite a bit of sanding. Holding small pieces of sandpaper is difficult and to try to get a backing for the paper is even more difficult. After a long bout of sanding metal strips for making pen clips I came up with this idea. The basic design is similar to several others already done with the caveat of being able to use the precut 1" roll strips sandpaper. The sanding blocks use the common 1" strips of sand paper that comes in rolls from any of the big woodworking stores, Amazon or eBay. Just cut a 5.75" long strip and install it into the block.
