About this model
HI, made this spool organizer to get some order and I think it might be useful to someone else (Hope I´m not the only one with Spool chaos around ;) ) It´s made of 2" pine wood strips and PLA. It can easily hold about 20 1Kg (2 pounds) spools including a space for the small factor spools. You can combine the pieces to resize it and change layout to fit your needs. With wood it gets a decent weight that prevents it from turning over and you can also cut a piece of glass to put on top and make a little table. The BOM for the picture example is: • 1.2 Kg of PLA filament • 4 pieces of 2” x 70 cm pine strip • 6 pieces of 2” x 60 cm pine strip • 7 pieces of 2” x 13 cm pine strip • 44 screws (16mm will do fine) (You may also want to paint the wood strips into black or white, I haven´t done this y…
