About this model
This design is my latest clockwork design. It was modeled it after a Jaeger-LeCoutre Gyrotourbillon, which they offer in several of their high-end watches. I tried to make the model an accurate (scaled up) version of the original mechanism, which is less that 10mm in diameter. Spending many hours looking at videos of the mechanism to try to get it right. The project started only 4 weeks ago, and I've been fortunate that everything has fallen together nicely. 3/16/19 Added forgotten L3 Base Bottom Cover to Thing Files. This is a very tight fit, so you will have to file the edges. Here is a time lapse of it. And a real-time video. This model is about 175mm in diameter. I power it with a 2 Amp USB power supply. Read the Gyrotourbillon Build Notes PDF in the files for more information. Enjoy, …
