About this model
This is a tool which uses a rotary cutter blade to cut in a straight line. It uses 3/4" x 1.5" Cellular PVC board as a guide. Quilter's templates are attached to the bottom of the PVC board by double-sided foam tape to assist with alignment of the cutter and provide something to hold while sliding the cutter jig down the PVC board. I taped together the quilter's templates to get the desired size, 24" in my case. Then I aligned the quilter's templates with the PVC board and attached them with double-sided foam tape so the first grid line on the template would be cut by the rotary cutter blade. Then I cut the excess of the template off with the first pass of the cutter jig. This gives a nice visual alignment guide so it is easy to see where subsequent cuts will be done.
