The original failed at the glue line after a year in the car - figured I could print it sitting flat in a single piece without too much support material. The hook needs support in this orientation so you can't just do buildplate only supports. Print in PETG with fairly high cubic or gyroid infill to give it a combination of flex and stiffness to clip in. PLA will sag on a summer day. I got a much nicer surface finish when I printed it laying flat instead of gluing together two halves.
