About this model
HO scale model of an old transformer station building located in Galt (now Cambridge), Ontario. Two of these buildings survive: one at the corner of Cedar Street and Grand Avenue South, and one in the middle of the block behind Water Street North and Park Hill Road. The two brick structures are pretty much the same, but each building has different rooftop ventilators and conduit connections through the walls. I photographed and measured the building at Cedar and Grand for this project. The main part of the model prints as a single structure with interior brick detail. My interior brick work and the roof trusses are just guesses but they seem reasonable to me. Print two of each door and assemble the doors back-to-back to provide interior detail.
