About this model
I needed more lighting at my desk for writing things down, and to improve video conferencing. I happened to have a cheap ring light with adjustable color temp and brightness that seemed otherwise useless, so I figured I'd put it to work. Since I have a monitor mount that uses a pole, I figured I'd remove the end cap from the pole, and fit it with a mount specifically designed to hold the pole for the ring light. It's effectively an adaptor, to connect two poles together. While it's not a compression fit, it seems to hold together nicely. VIVO Monitor Stand: Ring light used:
