About this model
This moon lamp base for the Moon Lamp (LED Strip Mount WS2812B) has been designed to have a 9 Volt AC to DC circuit board installed in the bottom of the base. The LED's used were the 12 Volt strip type and yes 12 volt LED strips will illuminate with 9 Volts. The base is short so the lamp is less likely to get tipped over. The advantage of a AC to DC adapter is there are no batteries to change or charge. The AC to DC circuit board is held in place with Hot Glue. Not pictured is a high density self adhesive sheet to cover the hole for the circuit board and to keep the base from slipping on the surface it rests on.
