I enjoy retrocomputing and keeping them alive, and as any fan knows, Commodore's vintage C64 power supplies are... extremely dangerous to the computer these days, to put it mildly. They fail from age (Hey, they're often over 30 years old - the machine was released in 1982!) and heat in a way that allows them to overvolt the machine, killing hard-to-find vintage parts in the process. Additionally, the machine has somewhat odd supply requirements at 5V DC _and_ 9V AC. While there are a few people making supplies for sale, it really isn't all that hard to source the parts to make one.. except for making it look nice in a box.
