About this model
This is an original design of a ratchet and pawl system i made for a university project, i adapted it so it could be 3D printed. This system is designed to allow the ratchet to only turn in one direction. How it is supposed to function when assembled is shown here: To assemble it: insert the shaft into the middle hole of the base and put the keyway into the notch on the end of the shaft, then put the ratchet onto the assembly as shown in the picture. Now put the pawl onto the bolt and insert that into the upper base hole with the large bolt end at the front then secure it with the nut allowing the pawl to rotate freely.
