The CR-10S Y-AXIS STEPPER MOTOR BRACKET is a free printable 3D model from Thingiverse by hamkers. After kitting out my CR-10S with stepper motor dampers, I found the Y-axis stepper motor listed considerably - some 10-15 degrees due to the belt tension. You can download the STL file from the original listing below and print it at home.
About this model
After kitting out my CR-10S with stepper motor dampers, I found the Y-axis stepper motor listed considerably - some 10-15 degrees due to the belt tension. This bracket idea from Scholle was perfect and as you can see from the photos, the motor is perfectly aligned (I wish I'd taken a before photo now!!) Due to the angle, I didn't take any chances and I took to fusion to really beef up the bracket to make it stiffer (I didn't have the belt too tight) Really happy with this mod.
