About this model
In our prototype development project, our goal is to create a custom bread slicing aid tailored to the needs of a student with physical limitations. To achieve this, we prioritize the use of health-friendly materials, opting for wood for the backing, cutting board, and guide rails. This choice minimizes the presence of health-damaging plastic components and reduces the risk of abrasion from microplastics. For enhanced safety, our prototype incorporates a lid with finger-safe peepholes and a handle equipped with a pressing plate. These features not only shape the bread effectively but also ensure its secure placement during the slicing process, accommodating bread or buns of varying sizes.
