About this model
I bought an IKEA LACK Table and IKEA MAGLEHULT LED Lamp to set a small work space for my son. I wanted to mount the lamp in a way that it could adjust up and down and do so in a way that would not require any drilling or cutting. I found mistertech's Headphone Mount and figured I could remix it to get what I needed. I cut off the wire holder from underneath, stretched it to fit the fatter LACK table top, added a hole for the lamp base to slide through, added a bracket for the lamp to rest against, and put a 1/4"-20 screw hole in back to allow for an adjustment screw. I created a star knob with a 1/4"-20 thread to be able to lock the lamp in at the selected height. This has worked very well for what I had in mind.
