About this model

This is a clamp designed for guitar making, specifically clamping triangular kerfing to the rims of the guitar in order to add a surface for the back and soundboard to glue to. Many people use regular clothes pins and other way to clamp kerfing but I have found that I really like the style made by Bob Taylor (of Taylor guitars). It applies even pressure on the kerfing from top to bottom, eliminating gaps. They are wonderful but hard to find and expensive if you do find them. You can always make your own but it is a bit labor intensive. My version builds on the original design and makes it easier to print up your own collection of kerfing clamps.
