The hobbyist magazine Fine Woodworking (Winter 2018-2019, issue #272, pp. 43-47) reports that the DeWalt DWE6423 bags only 52.4% of dust it generates when using the OEM dust filtration bag, but collects 96.1% of the dust when used with a vacuum. This adapter connects the dust port of the DeWalt random orbit sander to a Rockler "Dust Right FlexiPort Power Tool Hose Kit" available at Rocker retail stores or at the Rockler website. The adapter is a snug friction fit on the sander side, and screws into the dust collection hose on the other side. It is noteworthy that the adapter swivels in order to reduce the likelihood of twisting the dust collection hose as you use the sander..
