This allows more room for the charging plug to prevent strain on the cable. Update: I have added a new center piece called Switch Stand Center Foldable. This piece has two hinges of differing height, which allows you to fold the arms inward. The center piece is also a bit wider than the original, so the arms can fold completely within the width of the center. This portable Zelda-themed charging stand is the perfect solution to a common issue with the Nintendo Switch.
