About this model
Slider-crank mechanism is a modification of a four bar chain. This mechanism is used to convert rotatory motion to linear motion and vice versa. There are 4 parts to a slider chain mechanism: a fixed frame, rotating crank, connecting rod and a slider which reciprocates between the guides. Video link to the working of my design of slider crank mechanism This project aims to demonstrate the working of a slider-crank mechanism to the students. Further, this design can be used as a prototype for kinematic analysis projects of the slider crank mechanism. Closest commercial variant ($255) In this product the seller has included a ruler to measure travel of slider and angle measurer to measure the rotation of crank. This can be easily added to my design with minimal costs.
