About this model
The Challenge for this design was to create a sword that is assembled glue free as well as mixing both solid body modeling from Solidworks and organic modeling in Zbrush. The joints are designed to slot in easily and hold the model together entirely glue free. After I modeled the blade and hilt joints Elliot Viles Modelled the skulls in Zbrush. Once he completed this I then took the files and used mesh mixer to blend his organic parts with my engineered parts creating the perfect marriage of two disciplines. Once the model was printed and assemble it was finished beautifully by Catherine Wood, a member of MyMiniFactoy.com's talented post processing team.
