About this model
I wanted to create a design that was both simple and complex. Simple for its reminiscence of a game asset and smooth details optimal for 3d printing. Complex in the sense that it lends it's shape to the pen and creates an airy illusion that you want to look at from multiple angles. I simulated the smoke with n-particles, meshed with meta-balls, and converted to polygons. The rocket tail was extruded from the wacom pen cup provided.
