Here you have a small robot I have done for a special holiday course for children. In 6 week, 2h/week they have finish all the robot The cost is around 20$ per robot of material They can modify the top with tinkercad they can start programming with blocklyduino or S4A and then switch to arduino IDE. You have : an arduino nano motor driver (L9110S dual H bridge) 9V battery holder clip ultrasonic sensor (HC-SR04) 2 DC motors with wheels some cables (dupont line male/male or/and male/female) a remote control kit with receiver module and some cable ties, 9v batteries and other small part (condensateurs, switches,...)
