Known as the Iron Crusader, this imposing knight stands almost motionless behind the narrow slit of a heavy great helm, both hands resting upon the pommel of a massive sword. There are no trophies or extravagant decorations across his equipment—only mail, plate, a plain worn surcoat, and the enormous blade planted before him. The simplicity makes him more intimidating, as though whatever oath put him inside that armor requires neither recognition nor reward. He makes an excellent crusader knight or temple guard, particularly for holy orders, fortified monasteries, medieval armies, and historical-fantasy settings.
