About this model

I have a set of weights with the screw on locks that comes with lots of plates but only one set of dumbbell bars. They are not particularly comfortable so I made this printable version. I have been using it in PLA for a couple of months and it works fine. The most I have used it with is 12.5 kg, not because I am worried about the plastic, but because I am not lifting more than that yet. With more weights available without needing to replace platesI find I like exercising more. I include some shims because my weights were different sizes on the inner diameter. The ones that were larger than the bar tended to spin and then loosen up too much. The shims really help. PETG might be a better choice for flexibility and if need to print more I will likely use that profile. The PLA prototy…
