AT HIS WAKE, HIS PARENTS (DALE AND DARLENE EMME) AND FRIENDS PLACED YELLOW RIBBONS AND CARDS INSIDE A BASKET. THE CARDS CARRIED THE MESSAGE: "IF YOU NEED, ASK FOR HELP." YELLOW RIBBON SUICIDE PREVENTION PROGRAM. THE BRIGHT YELLOW OF MIKE'S CAR BECAME THE ENDURING COLOR OF THE MOVEMENT.
