About this model

After eclipse is before the next eclipse... This simple solar filter holder can be adapted to photo lenses or telescope. To make a solar filter, buy certified filter foil. - Print part A and B (can be set in the SCAD file) - apply some double-sided tabe to the corners of one part and glue the foil on. Best way is to let the part fall about 1cm on the foil and then press is it. - Cut excess foil with a scalpell or stanley knife. - Punch the holes with a needle - Screw both parts together with screws Make sure your filter sits tight on the lens. If in doubt, use tape to secure it. Remember to _never_ look into the sun with a camera or teleskope without approved filter, it will damage your eyes immediately.
