About this model

This is a dual USB-C charger which fits in place of the car's cigarette lighter. It has a magnetic cover for dust protection. The build relies on a custom PCB (files attached) and a buck converter to provide 5V. I used an isolated converter DQD20-24-S5-T for extra protection/reliability. Note for the charging speed: I selected the resistor to 10W per plug to avoid buying a powerfull buck converter. Refer to the attached pdf for instructions and BOM. FreeCAD & EasyEDA files are attached. Note: - Tested on a R57 mini, but it should fit the R56 as well as they are quite similar. - The Instruction PDF has been written with the help of AI
