About this model

A 3D-printed lamp shade with scattered holes of three sizes, placed in a golden-angle spiral across the sides, the 45° chamfer and the flat top. Preferably lit from inside by a small LED, it throws soft dots of light across the ceiling and walls. Specs (defaults) Size: Base has 130 mm outer diameter x 110 mm tall (fits a 180 mm bed) Wall: Little too thick for my liking but being new & too concerned about heat impact on PLA – kept it high. Holes: 3, 5 and 7 mm round, about 15% of the surface open Bayonet base: 3 lugs, about 25° twist to lock Time and filament: I used a thick base – as I am new. You may use a hollow/brim only base – which will reduce filament & also print time. Use black or dark PLA. White or light PLA glows through the walls and the dots lose contrast.
