About this model
Although this looks sort of like it is actually quite different. To make the closed top I had to completely redesign the parts underlying geometry. I also switched the cross section of the spirals from rectangular to circular. Doing this reduces print time because the printer does not have to deal with corners and the associated acceleration/deceleration moves corners require. This part printed in 27.5 hours using 0.200 mm layer height and a print speed of 100 mm/sec. This lamp accommodates either a battery operated or wall powered "puck" LED light. This blog page has links for all the wall powered parts needed and shows how to hook everything up: For battery powered puck lights just go to any large home improvement store or simply Google "LED puck light".
