I used a 5M WS2812B 5050 RGB LED Strip and it is controlled via an ESP8266 CP2102 Development Board with WLED installed. It is run by a 5V 10A separate power supply. 20-04-2021. Diagram has been added. I have not done any programming on the board...Just flashed WLED on to it and then viola. Pls. see the link: A few vids.
