About this model
Here I have recreated Spaceship Earth. It consists of a geodesic sphere consisting of 980 polygons subdivided into 3 triangles each, with the center point pushed outwards slightly, perched atop 3 legs and a center base. I have provided two versions. One version is the whole thing, which you will need supports for. The other is two separate pieces that can be glued together which is better for printing geosphere details. You'll need some supports for the legs if you do this. UPDATE: Version two features 11,760 polygons on the geosphere, more accurately reflecting the complexity of the real thing. A top and bottom version has been provided.
