Design story and technique This panel turns Natural Earth time zone polygons (10m, v5.0.0, public domain) into a parametric data relief: each tile carries the standard UTC offset of its polygon, and its height encodes the hour that offset reads at 12:00 UTC. Half- and quarter-hour offsets are placed between the two hour rungs. Colour groups the 24 rungs into six four-hour bands (Small Hours, Dawn, Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Midnight) so the day is readable at a glance. Technical characteristics Finished panel size: 959.758 mm × 376.756 mm × 46.0 mm. Parts: 371 unique printed parts laid out as a Voronoi-style modular grid (one layer).
