Articulated Batarang
Source: Thingiverse by Nerys
The Articulated Batarang is a free printable 3D model from Thingiverse by Nerys. I extracted the "hinge" chunk and fabbed a "slicer" and a "punch" so you could take almost any simple solid shape and make it "articulated" like the butterfly. You can download the STL file from the original listing below and print it at home.
About this model
I extracted the "hinge" chunk and fabbed a "slicer" and a "punch" so you could take almost any simple solid shape and make it "articulated" like the butterfly. Very cool! I used Yannickraw's batarang as the base for this. Tons of fun! howto video coming soon! I made this so it will print on a 150x150 volume printer just rotate it 45'! if you set the EXTERIOR INFILL angles to 0' and 90' (if you print it 45' rotated) you can print it with zero interior infill and use a lot less plastic! I am in the process of printing one maxed out on a 400x400mm printer now! will add a picture in 17 hours if its successful :-)
