About this model

The Thunderbolt before the bubbletop became firmly associated with its iconic silhouette. Functionally, the P-47B, C, and G are the same plane. The P-47C is fitted with a straight aerial mast rather than the swept one seen on the P-47B. Th P-47C-1-RE additionally has a longer fuselage with a 20.3cm extension. The P-47G is a Curtiss-built P-47C/D (Early) with some models having minor interior changes. The P-47G production run included a pair of two-seat TP-47G training fighters, the only ones of its kind.
