About this model

Hungarian fighter based on the Re.2000, which was in turn a variant of the P-35. It replaces the original Piaggio-built 986-hp 14-cylinder radial engine with a more powerful 1,085-hp motor by Weiss Manfréd of Budapest, Hungary. Otherwise, the Héja I is the same as the Re.2000. The Héja II featured here includes an armament upgrade with 12.7mm Gebauer machine guns replacing the Italian Breda-SAFAT guns of the same caliber. The Gebauer gun is geared for 1,000 rpm, a major improvement over the Breda-SAFAT's 600 rpm.
