As an avid tabletop wargame player myself, I find this tool to be indredibly helpful when you need to measure distances when moving your figures around corners and terrain. You can print as many "Middle" chain segments as you need, in order to make a ruler that's as long as you desire. The segmets snap-fit together easily, and can be taken dissassembled and re-assembled as many times as you need.
