About this model

The He-112 is a competitor to Messerschmitt's Bf-109 fighter. It features an open cockpit and a large elliptical wing starting from the V-4 prototype onwards. The V-series are all armed with 2x 7.92mm machine guns up to the V-5. The V-6 prototype and A-0 production model switched to a single 20mm cannon in the nose. The V-5 prototype featured here is powered by a 12-cylinder engine doing about 650-700 hp. Production A-0 aircraft use a 600-hp variant without WEP. The WM-23 was a prototype fighter built in 1941 by Weiss Manfréd of Budapest, Hungary. It was intended to complement and eventually replace Hungary's existing fleet of He-112B-1/U2 fighters. Power comes from a 14-cylinder radial engine cranking out between 880-1,100 hp. Production aircraft would've been armed with 2x 12.7mm Gebauer…
