Summary The Moon as seen from Earth, rebuilt as a tiled relief. Elevation comes from LOLA (Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter) global altimetry. Each Voronoi cell uses the median elevation of its area and is assigned one of six elevation bands; band decides which filament colour to use and how far the tile projects from the wall. Vertical relief is exaggerated for legibility: this is a data relief, not a scale globe. The near side sits below the Moon's mean radius in the data, so all bands are negative relative to that mean.
