Free Warhammer 40K Army Model STL Files

Building a Warhammer 40,000 army is a long project, and 3D printing has become the way a lot of players fill out their rosters: proxy Space Marines and Primaris squads, Tau battlesuits, Ork boyz and vehicles, Chaos warbands, Aeldari, Necron warriors, and Tyranid swarms, all sized for 28 mm heroic scale. The free model scene is huge here, from single characters to entire proxy armies.

This collection gathers free Warhammer 40K compatible army models from Cults3D, MyMiniFactory, Thingiverse, Printables, and MakerWorld: infantry, characters, vehicles, walkers, and bits for every major faction. Every file is free to download from the original creator's listing. These are fan-made proxies and compatible designs, not official Games Workshop files.

Infantry prints best on a resin printer at 0.05 mm, while vehicles and large walkers are fine on FDM at 0.12 to 0.16 mm with supports. Grey resin or filament primes itself for a quick base coat. If you are new to printing minis, start with a single squad and a base from the miniature bases collection before committing to a whole army.
